After graduating from Southwest Baptist University (’02), Patrick Morrow served as a local representative for the United States Senate and later as a Chief of Staff in the Missouri Senate. In 2013 the Morrows followed a call to ministry and theological education by packing up and moving to Waco, Texas. Pastor Pat graduated from Baylor’s Truett Theological Seminary with an MDiv in 2017. (Sic ’Em Bears!)
While in Seminary Rev. Morrow served as a graduate assistant and focused his studies on biblical languages and church history. He has a special love for Reformation Era theology and history. This season of study deepened Pastor Pat’s love for Jesus, his commitment to the supreme authority of scripture, and his appreciation of the great tradition as a rich resource for mission, ministry and discipleship.
Rev. Morrow met his wife Amy, while attending Southwest Baptist University, and they were married in 2001. They have two teenage daughters Caitlin and Rhiannon.
When he is not working or studying, Pastor Pat loves to camp with his family, take hikes with his black lab, read, or nerd-out about historical theology and ancient liturgies. He is a co-author of A Book of Prayer for Baptists.

Laura believes that that there is power and deep meaning in musical worship and the words that we sing and say. She is passionate about glorifying God through worship by drawing on historical church traditions as a resource, as well as by incorporating more contemporary influences. She wants every worshipper to participate in authentic worship, experience the presence of God, and be changed by it.
As a graduate of William Jewell College, Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and is currently pursuing Graduate studies in Vocal Performance at Missouri State University. Before coming to Sunshine, she served as the Worship Intern at South Gate Baptist Church.
